Objectives and intent of the course will be clearly stated. What is to be learned?
   
Prerequisite knowledge requirements of each course will be clearly stated to allow participants to properly prepare for the course
   
Each course will address the fundamentals of the subject at an advanced graduate level
   
The content of each course will be carefully coordinated to use multiple presenters with particular expertise and specialized knowledge or experience
   
Theory will be supported by, and presented in an equal balance with, relevant applications appropriate to the design process and consistent with the intent to develop synthesis skills
   
All courses will be offered with variation in delivery format, including lectures, guest speakers, video, seminars, case studies, plant and other site visits, laboratory experimentation
   
All courses promote development of participant interactive skills
   
All courses promote teamwork, an essential element of design, manufacturing and management
   
All courses will address best practices
   
Courses are designed to be responsive and flexible to the needs of the participant group while maintaining the objectives and high standards of the course
   
Participant feedback will be mandated at the end of each day through discussion, and with a formal course evaluation at the end of each four-day session
   
All courses require a formal evaluation of each participant; this may comprise elements of presentation, individual or team projects, assignments and/or written examinations
